Can You Help With This Problem?

  Cable keeps slipping out
  The ball end of the control cable to engage the self blade keeps slipping out of the slot on the bottom of the engine. It can be put back in by turning the mower over but slips out again the next time the blade is disengaged. What do I need to do to make it stay in the slot.
