self propelled lever

When I squeeze the lever the lawnmower no longer moves like it use to, I remove the cover and removed the dirt that was accumulated on the pulleys and noticed that the belt is very loose. How do you adjust the tension on this model?

no self propel, too!

I have same problem, I tried to adjust tension; wasn't able to. I was wondering if the belt has stretched over time, also mine stopped right after I whacked the water meter cover, ouch!
