Oiling

I own an MS170 that is less than a year old that is not oiling properly. It uses only a fifth of a tank of bar oil to a tank of gas and is overheating the bar.

    Do you keep your saw well maintained? it may just be that the outlet hole is blocked or the bar rails are full of junk, a good clean up may sort it out?

    with a very small air nossle blow out the oiling chamber. this should do the trick

    silly as it sounds, have you put the bar on up side down? there is a small hole in the top of the bar which the oil runs through. it may be blocked
