Hello.
The Homelite Super EZ is an older saw that uses a 16:1 fuel/oil ratio. I have had several of these since the early 70's. They are a great little lightweight saw built back when Homelite was a great American brand. With the built in decompression valve they are easy to start and run reliably. To start the saw turn the ignition toggle switch up to the run osition, pull the choke out all the way, and engage the decompression valve. Pull the saw starter rope 3 times, then push the choke in to the middle position. Pull the rope again and the saw should fire. Once running let it run with the decompression valve engaged and idling. Slowly push the choke in all the way and pull the throttle trigger to close the decompression valve and then allow the saw to warm up fully before using it.
